Tip cut-off

¹Tips must be selected before kick-off ^{added 2024}. Previous to 2024, all tips for a round had to be submitted before game 1 kick-off. From 2024, it was voted to allow tipping per game and not per round. Tips cannot be accepted after cut-off time.

If the website is unavailable, then tips will be accepted by email or sms, but only if sent before kick-off of the game the tip is for. My email address is (shown when logged in) and my mobile is (shown when logged in). Or, contact me via Messenger

How to tip

After logging in, the current round will be displayed. To make your choice on who you think will win each game, simply click/tap your preferred team. It will highlight to show your tip has been locked in. This tip can be changed at anytime before kick-off¹.

Choose your winners for each of the games displayed. Most rounds have 8 games, some weeks may have less if there is representative games during the week. Make sure you have selected a team for each round to chance getting maximum points.

²One game per round requires a margin selection. This margin is used to determine the ultimate winner of the competition if there were more than one tipper finishing the season on the same amount of points. The tipper with the lowest margin will be the overall winner if this were the case. The competition finishes at the end of the regular season, round 27.

Scoring

For each correct tip (including draws), 1 point is awarded. A perfect round will result in an extra point awarded.^{added 2022}

We also use a margin system which allows us to find the ultimate winner if there were a draw².

Joker Rounds ^{added 2024} allows the tipper to score double points on rounds of their choosing. A tipper must select the Joker before kick-off of game 1 to be valid. Once round has started, selecting or de-selecting Joker is not allowed. A selected Joker round will double the points earned in that round. For example, a maximum round of 8/8 correct tips would award 8 + 1 (perfect round) x 2 = 18 total points.

State of Origin

^{removed 2025} This used to be a seperate and optional comp where the winner would receive a bonus gift card. As of 2025, there will be no more State of Origin rounds.

Competition end

This tipping competition ends at the completion of the regular rounds. Winners will be announced on my Facebook page (CritosNrlTipping) shortly after, though you can check out the current standings on the website after logging in.

Competition winners can choose how they would like to receive their winnings, via direct deposit or PayPal.
